Unlike other "easy" kits, this requires no assembly or cutting wires. Everything you need is included.Just take out the old battery and put in this new one. All other 24V battery kits are way too expensive ($170+) and don't fit in the original battery compartment. This battery is the only one to combine everything with a built-in plug and 40-Amp circuit breaker. Charger is included.
24V batteries are regarded as a fairly safe upgrade by the Power Wheels modding community. They aren't known to burn up motors, destroy gearboxes, melt wiring, or harm the vehicle.That being said, it's prudent to follow these precautions:

• Lightweight drivers on hard ground is best.
• Don't treat the upgraded vehicle like an unstoppable ATV. It's a race car, and should be treated carefully.
• Don't put rubber tread on the rear tires. Spinouts are good.
• Try to let the vehicle come to a stop before switching between forward and reverse.

• Do not use this battery in the Power Wheels Wild Thing, Barbie Dream Camper, or Boomerang. These models have "Smart Drive" - a speed controller that will refuse to operate on higher voltage.
• If you have a 12V Peg Perego or Kid Trax brand vehicle, message us! We can help you get an adapter.
• Vehicles that are already 24V will see no speed increase from this battery. Do not use this battery in a 24V vehicle.

Please note that this battery is not a range upgrade. Remember the saying, "The candle that burns twice as bright, lasts half as long." Without making the battery bigger, more speed means less driving time. On hard ground, expect 20-30 minutes, and less on grass. Many folks buy two.
